I grew up outside Dixon, KY in Webster County where we always had at least one dog in the house & several other pets, including a hamster, two birds, several fish, and a few cats. I currently have a Rough Coated Collie, a Dalmatian, a 3-legged rabbit, and a turtle. I am a runner (often running with my dog), and I enjoy hiking and being outside. I became interested in exotic animal medicine after three years of research with freshwater aquatic turtles at Freed Hardeman University & working for three years as the turtle rehabilitation program coordinator at Auburn University. I have a soft spot for small mammals, including Guinea Pigs & mice after working as a student rep for Oxbow Animal Health, and I love reptiles.
